He composes, records, and publishes sundry forms of experimental, rock, and jazz music under his real name, the pseudonym Sonic Deviant, and under various band monikers, including the band concept known as MeLtNoW. SD promotes his recordings via this web site and various other places around the Internet.

Notes on Gear and Equipment:


Shane uses many different guitars but loves his custom fretless Fernandez Retrorocket X (the "Fernando-Carvin"), Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Carvin Bolt-T Strat, Epiphone Performer SE acoustic, and Ibanez AWD82LTD semi-hollow electric. He uses an SX200D Carvin guitar amp and whatever strings are cheapest at the time (9s and 10s). Effects choices include Focusrite, Alesis, Behringer, and many software plugins for recording. Shane records music using a Mac Pro running Apple's Logic Studio and various other software tools and outboard gear.
